I am a cord cutter myself, so I completely understand why people are jumping ship. The TV packages for any cable company are greatly overpriced and I don't want to pay for so many channels that I will never watch. Regarding the main topic, yes, I support cord cutting and completely understand it. Why would anyone want to pay such outrageous prices for channels they are never going to watch -vs- the small select few that they do?!
But I also want to say that I came from Comcast and I know there are some horror stories here surrounding Charter, but I have to say, so far, I am loving Charter Spectrum. I understand my experience may not be the same as your experience. But having once been a Comcast customer and comparing my experience now with Charter, I'm still happy.
Even with my 1st problem with Charter, things have still been better than Comcast (so far). »
[HSI] 1 channel only on modem The techs are friendly and they actually do seem interested in resolving the matter, as opposed to just brushing it off (as Comcast would have). I am not forced to be stuck in an automated system and am actually speaking with real people. I reach those real people in what to me seems like record time (a few short rings and I have a real person on the line). The appointment times are not all day events where you're sticking around waiting for 12 hours between 7 - 7, but rather actually given a real-time such as 10-11.
Finally, as a cord cutter myself, I do believe my price for Internet access is fair. My promotion is currently 44.99 and after it expires it will be $60 for 60 Mbps. That I feel is an even exchange ($1 per 1 Mbps), as opposed to Comcast who billed me $60 for only 12 Mbps ($5 per 1 Mbps). Economically in my case, I really am getting more.
