The other day I was thinking about going hunting with some one.So I told my friend Charlie I would like to go with him some time and take photos of him hunting. He tell me I am going out Saturday it is the first day of Dove season feel free to come a Long, cool new type of photos for me to shoot.Wait arnt doves and pigens the samething he got a good laugh out of that what do I know they look the same to me.We could set some traps by out house and get all you want.Ha Ha not the same you will see.So this is my update on my trip. I went dove hunting with my friend yesterday He went to bag some doves and I went to take photos of it.Last time I went gun hunting was very close to 30 years ago for rabbit .It was lot of walking so I got my pants with lots of pockets to hold all my batteries ,plastic bags ,( we are in Florida) and filters for my camera. So we drive North on US 27 all way l to Bell Glade then to were we (he) are going to hunt there are trucks every were I am thinking to my self we are going to get our ass shot off there are way too Manny people out there.I am sure Ill have to keep my head real low.So when we get on the top of the bream/dike there are trucks line up all along the top and some down the side (to the west) I look to the north east all along the east side of the brim is guys and some with there dogs sitting in chairs looking out over the Sawgrass waiting for the Doves to come in to roost I start laughing I never seen a site in my life (sorry guys I found it funny). There was shooting all day at the outher end were most of the people were and were the power lines were so you would see the doves try to land and get blasted and the dogs run and pick them up kinda cool.My friend got one and Danny (the black guy) two and lost one in the weeds he gave us his.We just met him there at the hunt he sure had lots of storeys and a very nice guy to boot.Charlie say he will be going duck hunting next and ask me to go I can"t wait.We seemed to be were the doves weren't they liked the power lines. But that OK it was fun. When he get more doves we will be eating them.

I witnessed opening day of hunting for something down in South Florida. It looked like complete madness to me, with hunters stationed in their chairs every 50 feet or so. I've never been a hunter, but would vastly prefer hunting in the Great Plains than the mess that it is down in Florida...here you have some room to roam and you aren't likely to be shot by the group next to you. Thanks for the photo essay...not everyone would even consider tagging along with hutners to take photographs!
