Soft focus was intentional, I actually wanted it a bit softer but like the way it came out.

Hmm. I don't know where I stand on this one. I like the composition, I like the faded color, I like the pose, but I just don't like the softness.

I wouldn't really call it "softness". It's more like "blurryness".

Otherwise, great photo and good job. Expecting to see more from this shoot.

I used a tripod for this shot with no flash and intentionally focused it a bit soft but in post processing I added gaussian blur because it wasn't as soft as I wanted, maybe that is what you're seeing? I just like the way it looked even tho it wasn't exactly what I was after.

I know rules are sometimes meant to be broken but I'm not sure about amputating!? What do you think? I like the pose, but I might would have gotten in closer. As long as your model is happy - that's all that matters. Looking forward to the rest of your series! :)

I've never really done much with soft focus, but you might find some of these techniques useful in Photoshop...they can help preserve some of the image sharpness while giving a soft glow.

I like it!
I get the idea that, I just woke up and she is saying "Are you coming with me or what"
It does have a mood.
Nice work once again Pretorious!

I like it... it is very soft but you explained your intentions and reasoning... she is one beautiful lady.

I, too, look forward to the continuing series.

Cheers,
Ronnie

I like it as well... it gives a different mood to the image that otherwise wouldn't be there.

I agree with everything said about the model. The soft focus puzzles me a bit but Mr. Pret's edit is fine.

I like the edit, makes the subject more intriguing than she already is. Great work Pret!

I'm with kidpics . I don't know that the blur is so much the issue to me as the distance from the subject in relation to the background. Both are not in focus, and they tend to bleed into each other compositionally given the distance of each in relation to the other.

I like everything about the shot and colors except for the soft focus pp. Something about it just does not jive with me.

This is so much nicer than the others. I love the soft focus and the fact that she is not grinning. This has some mood and artistry. Very nice.
