 | Just a couple more snake pictures and I promise to move on to more pleasant views. These snakes are usually harmless but if backed into a corner they WILL fight you and do bite. A friend of mine was bitten by one and was quite ill for three days afterwards, it wasn't life threatening but he sure paid a heavy price for not knowing what he was doing and trying to pick it up. hey mods · » Monday September 10th, @02:36AM

 | Nice Black Rat Snake photograph. They are really excellent tree climbers and good nest predators because of that. It's odd that your friend had such a reaction as they are constrictors. I don't even think they have any venom that they can inject. | I think it was a combination of the shock of actually being bitten and the extreme heat, probably more to do with the heat because he was pretty excited and they had been trying to catch the snake for a while.
I was bitten by a copperhead several years ago and started feeling the results and getting sick in a matter of seconds, I was lucky I was close to a phone.hey mods · » Monday September 10th, @10:28AM
