Shots like this can be very tricky. I waited until the outside ambient light nearly matched that of the lights. I didn't feel like blinding myself by turning the instrument lights up more, so this was the closest I got. It's underexposed a bit for the shutter speed, but the RAW file from the 5D made it easy to recover from.

Heh, we have a TNL 2000 that is panel-mounted directly under it, but this is our portable mapping GPS. It pretty much needs to be visible for the pilot and co-pilot at the same time when we're doing our photo ops. Pretty low-tech, but it works!

Thank you! Just plain 'ol masking tape. Anything stronger would pretty much ruin the paneling up there.
