 | Guys please critique and give me some of your thoughts. I shot this in my dining room in front of a green Chroma key. I have been getting many requests to shoot portraits as such. What do you think! hey mods · » Wednesday March 23rd, @02:06AM

 | When you say "green chroma key", do you mean you had a flat green background which you replaced digitally?
She looks nice, and I'm a fan of the soft filter effect, but my one nit to pick is that I would rather you hadn't clipped off her elbow at the left edge of the photo. It almost makes me want to have her face slightly off center to the right and maybe a little higher, rather than centered. An 8 x 10 crop should knock most of the space off the top.
Her pose is exquisite, though she may seem a bit tense (her hands seem tight). Your lighting setup has put catchlights in her eyes that are most excellent.hey mods · » Wednesday March 23rd, @07:51AM

 | Well done. I like it even though I'm not a big fan of the glow filter effect. I agree with Noel about cropping the top. However, clipping the elbow doesn't bother me here. hey mods · » Wednesday March 23rd, @10:35AM

 | I don't know diddly squat about Chroma keys or such. I do like the photo though other than the missing elbow. I feel that it is, over all, something that I would appreciate were a portrait be done for me in B & W. hey mods · » Wednesday March 23rd, @04:21PM

 | Thanks Guys! Noel that's exactly what the chroma key is. She was a bit tense about having her picture taken as most people are. It was a more comfortable for her in my dining room than a pro studio (I think). Thanks about the elbow. Didn't even notice I had clipped it. Its quite different to compose a portrait and remember every little tid bit than it is to see a landscape and fill the frame just as you want to. There is a whole lot more your thinking about when shooting portraits. What I am enjoying is making those backdrops. hey mods · » Thursday March 24th, @01:18AM
