I think the shallow DOF was used purposely here, I like it. And Tao..that comment should just be a automatic signature to all of your gallery comments..:))

LOL, maybe it should be in my signature. Along with my line that the subject should be in focus.

If we use this image as an example, and it is a good example, the subject is either a group of flowers or it is a flower. If the subject is two flowers, then the viewer is forced to choose the subject one or the viewer can bounce back and forth in which case the rest of the image is lost.

I see two focal points and that does not work IMHO. :)

Maybe this is a thread?

McFly I shot it with a cheap Sigma 28-90mm in macro mode. It came in a kit with a 70-300mm lens.
Tao it is in focus. The shallow DOF was purposely done to prevent the foliage from being in focus. I do understand what your saying and thanks for input. It really helps to get many opinions.
